Respect Your Community

Sugar Websites is creating a thriving global business community online. We want the network to proactively and positively support the growth of every business within the community.

By supporting best web practices in terms of technology, design and content, every business within the community is recognized by search engines, web filters and other organizations as contributing positively to the Internet.

We ask for every member of the community to respect the network and the broader online community by following the Sugar Websites Community Guidelines.

Community Guidelines

  • Offensive or profane words including threats, sexually suggestive, inciting violence, racial, hate or sexist speech should be avoided.
  • Graphic descriptions of sexual or violent acts in any form of content are not allowed.
  • Nudity is not allowed, particularly if used in a sexual content, with the exception of it being used clearly for the purpose of education and if is not gratuitously graphic.
  • Promotion of dangerous or illegal acts in any form is not allowed.
  • It is the responsibility of the site owner to ensure that the copyright to all content in any form on their website is owned by themselves or is provided and accurately attributed to the owner on the site.

How We Enforce These Guidelines

Breaching any of the Community Guidelines puts your site and the Community at risk of being blocked by search engines and Internet filters and offending unexpecting visitors. This is damaging to the online reputation of your business and that of all others and can cause an immediate negative impact that can be hard to recover from.

To assist in maintaining a positive reputation for the entire Community, we regularly review the content of websites to ensure they don’t violate the Community Guidelines. If they do, the site owner will be notified and provided a time period to make immediate corrections. If corrections are not made, the site will be removed from the Internet and the owner will be charged a return fee to have the site relaunched and corrected. Repeat violations can lead to permanent website removal.
